Author. Blogger. Photographer.

…after a long pause…

We are back. marktiedemann.com is once more up and running, in its new and improved form, thanks to the terrific work of Laura Thake, web designer. Find her link at the bottom of the home page. I recommend her if you’re looking for web design. She has built me a new site, top to bottom, and here we are.

Please. Explore. Both my blogs are here, a book page with all my titles, a news link, and my photography is now on my site. If you should find an image that you wish to purchase, click on it and then at the bottom click on VIEW and you will be taken to the Zenfolio page with the BUY button. All in all, I am very happy with the new look and all the links and so forth.

Going forward, the observations, rants, reviews, and whatever else comes to mind will continue. I am still writing fiction. At this point, I am halfway into the first rewrite of the next Granger novel, which after long, long skullcrushing contemplation has a title: A River Between

Since my last post, before the election, the world has turned upside down in many ways. I am baffled, angered, and cynically resigned. Yes, I’ll have more to say on all this, but for the time being let me make one major observation: this is going to hurt, for countless reasons. We have as a nation shot ourselves in both feet and in the coming tarantella of confusion and imbalance the most vulnerable among us will be threatened and harmed. There’s a reason I have never been interested in writing dystopias, at least not at novel length, and that is because I believe in a better future. I still do, in spite of recent history. I’m just not sure now who’s going to build it.

Later, though, for all that. For now, welcome back. I will endeavor to not be boring. But please, Granger’s Crossing is still available through all the usual outlets. There will be further publications this year. Your support is needed. Spread the word, drop a coin the proverbial hat, and treat yourself to, in my humble opinion, some good fiction.
