Mixing Influence

I’m listening to recordings recently released from an old source in the once-upon-a-time category of music history. Peter Banks, the original guitarist for YES. He went on to form the band Flash and then did a number of solo projects until his death in 2013 at age 65. One of those projects was a trio called Harmony In Diversity and a compilation of their work has become available. Instrumental, spacey, very stylish. Banks is one of those oddities in my book. He seems to have become much better after leaving YES than when he was in the band. Maybe that’s just a matter of taste. But this—6 discs—is going to be my writing music for a while.

I just started reading the new Murderbot novel, Platform Decay, and I have been reading a few other things, mostly nonfiction.

In this atmosphere, I made a new image. Enjoy.
